Is Bernie Sanders invincible? One artist appears to think so.
With the American presidential race in full swing, memes of candidates from both ends of the political spectrum dominate the internet. Today artist Tony Zvonek took a comic-book-based approach to the struggle, altering the cover of Invincible volume 12 to make the protagonist resemble Senator Bernie Sanders.
Entitled “Invincible Bernie”, the image comes just a day after Sanders swept the Alaska, Washington and Hawai’i Democratic primaries, bolstering his bid to unseat front-runner Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination.
While geek-centric memes such as this are unlikely to significantly alter Sanders’ chances of landing the nomination, they do show that the geek-o-sphere is capable of paying attention to more than just the ongoing debate over Batman V Superman.
